- My collaboration project is called The Grand and Torn. Our music is Alternative/Progressive Rock. We took the sounds of artists we love and made a fusion of them to create our own, but similar style. It's going very smooth so far and things are going fast writing wise.
- Look for the release of a single probably by the end of this month followed by a five song EP called Sun Eater. The EP will be free on our Bandcamp.
- This past Friday afternoon I worked with Bryer re-recording his song "Cause Mama." We are currently working together to produce his debut album. Check out his page and his demos on SoundCloud. Below is the free download "Cause Mama."
- With these two projects, my solo music is on hold. I've been putting most of my time into The Grand and Torn, so that we can release something soon. And now the recording process of Bryer's album is just beginning. If you didn't know though I did release this song at the start of my projects "Poke My Eyes Out and Keep Me Free."
- Although I have these projects, I'm still looking for more. I want to have another collaboration project or do some engineering for someone's music/band.

I'm working a few projects right now. The first being an EP with an online band. Our goal is just to write some fun songs and release an EP for free, so people can hear it. We've decided to take Lorde's Team and make it our style as a cover on the EP. It'll be a month or two before release because we just started.
The second project I have right now is working an aspiring rapper. We are working on his debut album, which will hopefully come this year. I'm helping with production and instrumentals. My third project is form a group with my friend, which has been a constant idea. We are either going to be making some electronic based music or some form of alternative rock. Details on everything soon. This past month I've been working on some originals and covers with a project band that hopefully will became a for sure thing. We will probably release something later this month or in May. Other than that I've been just consistently working on material. I just got Steven Slate Drums 4 and it sounds great! The drums were really the thing that was lacking since it wasn't that realistic sounding. Here is a snippet of something I made last night. It's been a year since I've updated my blog! Although I have been posting on Facebook and SoundCloud. Here are my plans for this year:
1. A new electronic dance music group with a female vocalist. We are just starting the music creation process, so it will be a little bit before there are any sounds floating about. The idea is having a sound inspired by electronic dance music and synth pop. Purity Ring is a rough example of our concept. 2. More Collaborations! There will be a new track from Trevor the Kid and I coming out soon. That possibly might become a few songs over the year as well. I've been talking to a few other people about collaborations, so there is a great chance of see some new combos on tracks. 3. Probably no EP or studio album this year, but for sure some singles. What genre? I can't really say, but my focus is on my alternative rock music. My plan is to hopefully separate rock and electronic by having the electronic group above. I'm not saying that I won't infuse the two at all, just that there won't be an eclectic EP or LP again, like Clashing Tides. 4. After I have accumulated some solid material, I plan to "hit the road." What I'm really saying is I plan to play some shows this year and perform my music live. Hopefully this will allow more people to enjoy my music or hate it. 5. I'm going to try and be more active on my website, such as blog weekly or at least on a regular basis. I usually upload my sounds to SoundCloud before anything else, but I will post about releases on Facebook and here from now on with a link. 6. Website Overhaul. It's not bad, but not the best either. I'm going to redo the entire site updating everything. If anybody knows or would like to help me with the website, photography, and graphic design let me know. Also going to be changing the address to TylerNyberg.com soon. That's all for now!!! Until next year....just kidding. Tyler Hey there, I said recently that I was going to remix all my songs for a re-release, but I have released that album twice already and I think that I need to just move on. Today, thanks to digital technology, we can recall music session instantly and continue to changes forever. Honestly, I was working on mixing them and making them higher quality, but I got distracted with my new material. I have probably five songs I am working on right now. The best part is that they all flow together and sound like an EP or an Album. I'm going to focus on finishing these songs more than the re-release, which I don't think is going to happen because like I said it is time to move on. Here is a demo I made of my song Pushing Away, it's the scratch track but it shows the music well. Here is a video of Trevor the Kid and I recording Keep Moving. Free download here.
I am sorry if there is any issues following links to download music. Vibedeck, the website I was using to distribute my music, has changed there services and it is now by subscription only, which I haven't done. Since I haven't subscribed my music put into offline mode and is unavailable. I will moving to Bandcamp as my main distribution as of now until further notice. I apologize again if there has been any issues. Have a good day!
If you haven't noticed, I have not release my "new song" because there are still no vocals, which I'm in the process of working on. I'm trying to write something that really fits with the music and that is meaningful to me in a way, so you could say I'm stepping up. My previous stuff has been sometimes just thrown together without thought and none are mixed too extensively, even the ones that are really well laid out. I'm sorry for my amateur quality previously, but I'm from here on I'm taking this is more seriously and professionally. Tracks will probably take longer to be released, but quality will be the reason.
After saying that, I'm glad to say that there will be a remixed and mastered version of Clashing Tides. I'm currently mixing all the songs again and working with my partner from Lost Fader Productions, Taylor Hudoba, who will be mastering the CD. This will not be the exact same as the original, I am making some minor changes to one or two songs and redoing most of the vocals. Along with some changes, there will be new "outtake" tracks that were scrapped at the making of the CDs. I will be giving it away for Free again, but it will be digital copy only via Vibedeck and possibly Bandcamp (not guaranteed). If you want a (free) personal physical copy, then contact me. There is no set release date yet, but I think the process will go fairly fast. More content being made! I'm getting together this week with my buddy Djinn who is a beat maker, rapper, and awesome drummer. We are going to be working on some songs, which hopefully you will get to enjoy. Along with that, I will be getting together with Trevor The Kid towards the end of the week to record some vocals for a rap collaboration we are working on. And other than that, I might possibly be doing some kind of a collaboration with Noah Alman in the next few weeks. -Tyler That's right. I posted a few days ago about my new song, which will be done in two weeks. Tomorrow I will be tracking bass and vocals. On Friday I'm tracking drums, so it is a busy but productive week. I also graduate in two weeks, which means job searching and more time to write some new songs, since my CD got sort of cancelled. My intentions were to truly record a new album while at the Institute of Production and Recording, specifically over summer, but IPR moved and we had no studio access. School also takes a lot of time besides a part time job, so now that I will be free I can focus on writing. The new goal is to have an EP next year, although I have no clue when, from myself or from a project my friend and I have been working on. You might get lucky and both things come true. Definitely be excited for the new tune in two weeks, I will try to post some pictures of recording and maybe a preview next week. Stay tuned. -Tyler
I've been missing in action for about three months, but I'm back! The Institute of Production and Recording moved locations, which means that the studios moved. So there hasn't been any progress recording new music, but I have been work on new material. Also working with Bryce or known as Djinn on some music for our project, which really hasn't got a name yet. Recently, I have been working in Ableton to make some ideas and it's getting pretty good results. I will try to upload some of the pieces I have roughed togther. Stay in t
